I’m 28 but have no style! I’m pear shaped and usually just wear jeans, trainers and surfer T shirts. I wear black trousers and plain T shirts to work. Can anyone give me some fashion tips please for winter 2009? I’m worried about getting leggings as my thighs are curvy (not huge but certainly not skinny!) I want to look cool/sexy not frumpy. Thanks in advance.
(Also have a small chest)

* A-line skirts and dresses will work like magic for you, they slim your hips and take inches off the thighs.
* Best coat for you is the Belted Mac, this will create an a-line effect and conceal wide hips.

* Flared Jeans are a fashion that is a godsend, lets hope this time they are back for good, the balancing effect they have keeps everything in proportion.
* Wear Darker colours on your bottom half, to give the slimmer hips illusion. Avoid metallic trousers and skirts they will add inches to your bum.
* Dresses with voluminous sleeves and / or elaborate neck detail work well for you by drawing attention upwards.
* Wide leg trousers are another excellent invention, averting the gaze away from wide hips and hiding chunky thighs.

try going for a high waisted skirt in black but not to short that your uncomfortable then jazz it up with a bright t-shirt ! and some costume jewelry. for this style it doesn’t matter if you have a small chest because it will look bigger. if your worried about leggings go for slim fit skinny jeans and a bright long t-shirt !
i hope this helps x

Ok, no offense but u sooooo need fashion advice.
Ok first off, Don’t think about your body, everyone doesnt care what your body is like they care more about what they look like. Second, fashion, people do care what you look like, so what you should do is, get some really amazing earing that are dangley, the a nice cute matching necklace! then wear your leggings! EMBRACE THEM! And last of all, if u wear a tshirt with your leggings, wear a mini skirt, if u wear a tunic, NO leggins, also, dont wear jeans as leggings! Oh and yellow, and orange r in right now so I hope this helps!

Tunics that are tight around the waist would probably look the best on your body type. And if you have some long cute shirts but are kind of baggy get a cute belt to wear around the waist area. With skinny jeans and boots it would look amazing, or if you wanna go super sexy you can wear some heels with your skinny jeans.
You should try shirts that look like this: http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=top%5Fdressy&product%5Fid=2064598695&Page=all
and boots that look like this: http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3691126

you should try stores like; NewYork&Co., Express, The Limited, Ross,Marshalls, even Walmart and Target. The thing is, when you go into an offbrand name store like Walmart,Target, Ross, and Marshalls. You have to go in there knowing what you want to wear and how you want to look (if you get what i mean). First you need to try everything on before you buy it, since I am assuming that you do not know what fits your body best and what looks right on you. After you go shopping a few times you will realize what looks good on you and what doesn’t. Try not to stick to the same colors all of the time. Now, certain people look good in certain colors. But please don’t make those your only colors. Try to go outside of your comfort zone and get something that you know you would never buy, but make sure that it looks right on you. Since you are an adult, try not to go for super tight jeans and tops. Buy things that fit your curves, but make sure they fit them in the right places if you know what i mean. some things don’t fit right everywhere.try looking at the outfits on these websites…

above all, be comfortable! if you are already wearing black trousers and a t=shirt then you are compensating for your pear shape. ANY darker pants and looser top will flatter you. Winter is a blessing for you since sweaters only make you look better!!! an Aline dress would still flatter you, but more than anything it would bring out the feminine side of you and blow the minds of those that just see you as a friend. look in fashion magazines and a few of the fashion websites online to get additional ideas simply by following the fashion of a few of the actors/singers that are always in the news for their fashion blunders…. just dont copy the blunders… pick what you like, try it on, and stick with what is comfortable… again, above all, be comfortable with yourself.

i second the above all, be comfortable!
in modern times your fashion becomes more about who you are, not who others tell you you should be…..
i hope that was helpful-
