Hello.
I am hoping to get some tips on fashion. I am a 16 year old male, wanting to dress more high classed (sophisticated) than most of the other people my age, that I can wear to school. By this is mean nice sweaters, classy shoes, suit like clothes, nice jeans. Overall, a well put together, sophisticated wardrobe. But at the same time being fairly well priced. If you have any suggestions about what a wardrobe should consist of please let me know. And if you know of any stores, or links that would fit this profile please let me know. Thanks
Well since we're talking about highschool here, I would recommend buying jeans from Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, stores like that. They have quality jeans for prices that don't normally cost an arm and a leg. I wouldn't recommend wearing suit like clothes to school because that's definitly overdressing yourself. If anything, wear a nice fitting white tee and find a button up vest to wear over top. that would go nicely with a pair of faded jeans and maybe a nice belt as well. Hats are a very good option as well, even though you might have to take them off. I would recommend maybe a Fedora (if you want some dressed up style) or even a newsboy cap. Finally, shoes! Depending on your comfort level, you could wear anything from a white pair of Pumas to semi-dressy shoes. If you want dressy shoes, I'd say go for black ones, not too pointy at the toe, but enough to make a statement.

If it's winter try a trenchcoat, it always shows some class amongst men. But I have a feeling it will look stupid going to school with tthat but someday the lil boys will understand what fashion is…

My best advice -go for something turtle-neck like…
Well, get inspired by the U.K.'s fashion.
The best thing is invest in some VERY nice quality jeans and simple white tops can be a big statement. Long sleeve white button down shirts are always good. The jeans can be bought on sale at any store such as abercrombie and fitch (They are high end, but you'd be surprised at their sale items). Sale items are hard to obtain in stores however, so try online where sizes are usually more available.
Scarves are also very nice, don't be afraid to find some feminine quality clothes, a white button down with a laced sleeve cuff adds sophistication without overwhelming your outfit.
Be wary though of wearing black dress pants to school at your age -a fancy nice top at 16 will be well complimented by some nice dark-wash jeans, but will look like you're trying too hard with dress pants. And the first answer suggestion of a trench coat is very much a good idea.
Brown leather messenger bag will also add to your style -backpacks are for little kids, and computer bags are for geeks. Invest in something leather because it lasts longer and actually looks very nice as it gets older.
that's it…hope it helped?
